Dream Goal
To remember a dream
Meditation and Sleep
No meditation. Went to bed at 1:00am. Woke up at 6:00am and remembered this dream:
I was on a walk with Adela. I saw a large Crown Victoria taxi cab taking councillor Paul Vicente and mayor Patrick Brown somewhere. They drove past us.
Upon returning home, our home on Bartley Bull instead looked like my childhood home on Inglewood Drive. It turned out that the cab was going to my house. But Paul had decided to move the taxi for some reason, and in doing so, had crashed into the bathroom at the back of the house. Nobody was hurt.
He felt really, really bad about it. He seemed more upset than I was. I hugged him, forgave him, and laughed about it.
Contemplations and Connections
My response in this dream struck me as being a sharp contrast to my response in the dream from June 2.
The people in my dream were all people I know and admire.
In this dream, Paul screwed up doing something he probably shouldn’t have been doing. The result was damaging. But in this case, I felt only empathy for him. No sadness. No anger. No regret.
Perhaps it’s important that, even as I contemplate and work through my issues of feeling let down by my health care system, they’re people too that also experience their own sense of regret on their personal journeys.
